To our racers and fans, to our family,

Due to the exhaustion of our local water supply, Grayson County Speedway has made the painful decision to end its race season effective immediately. The last of our onsite water was used on Saturday and Sunday’s water was borrowed from a neighbor. With no relief or rain in the near forecast, we feel that making a hard, fast decision to go into our off season is the best course of action for the fans, racers and the track itself.

We have had a tremendous season, running more consecutive nights (20) without a rainout than in any past season. We already have 23 nights in the book which is well above the yearly average. Both of these combined with extreme heat have pushed many racers resources (both financial and personal time with families) to the edge.

We are very proud of this season-

Solid car counts EVERY night (amongst the best in Texas)
Pit Pass Program (Over $40,000.00 back in the racers pockets!)
Sticker Program (Over $7000.00 back in the racers pockets!)
Championship Pay (Around $7000.00 goes to the top drivers)
We Put on the two highest paying shows in North Texas this year and we put on the highest paying Modified/Smod show in the United States of America one weekend!
We might have assembled the biggest all-star modified list of drivers at one spot in Texas this year!
We paid EVERY purse as advertised and paid more in many cases…. We opened EVERY night without lame excuses.
All in all, we, and when I say we, I include our fans, our drivers, our staff, and our sponsors should be very proud of what the oldest, sorriest, most broke track in Texas has achieved.

The banquet will be announced as soon as we can make araingements for jackets, a place to hold it and other details. Championship money, and IMCA licence reimbersment will be paid at the banquet.

Tires - Hoosier 500 stamped or unstamped or AR 500.
Motors - IMCA carb, vacuum, compression, and displacement rules all in effect. Top 3 are for sale. Must be on lead lap to buy. Must run Sat and Sun to buy. $1000 cash plus swap. Buyers motor must be 100% IMCA legal.
MUST RUN MUFFLERS!

GCS points will be awarded both nights. Mod and smod will be 20 max on sat.
